Jake and Emily are talking about their weekend plans. “What are you doing this weekend?” Jake asks.
“I’m visiting my grandparents on Saturday,” Emily says. “We usually have lunch together. What about you?”
“I’m going to a music festival with my friends,” Jake says. “We go every year.”
“That sounds fun! What’s the weather like this weekend?” Emily asks.
Jake checks his phone. “It’s going to be sunny on Saturday, but it might rain on Sunday.”
“Oh no! I want to go to the park on Sunday,” Emily says. “I am playing soccer with my team.”
“Are you playing a match?” Jake asks.
“Yes! We are playing against another local team. The game starts at 10 a.m.,” Emily says. “Are you coming to watch?”
“That sounds great! I love soccer,” Jake says. “I’m not playing this weekend, but I usually play on Fridays.”
Emily smiles. “We are training hard this week. We want to win!”
“Good luck! After your game, let’s go for lunch,” Jake suggests.
“That’s a great idea! Let’s meet at the café next to the soccer field,” Emily says.
They are excited for the weekend. “Weekends are always better with fun plans!” Emily says.
